Johnny Cunningham Tribute Concert Tour

In February 2006 Celtic musicians Phil Cunningham, Kevin Burke, Seamus Egan, Susan McKeown and Aidan Brennan will present a series of West Coast concerts of the music of Johnny Cunningham, in tribute to the Scottish-born musician whose numerous accomplishments as a performer, recording artist, producer, lyricist and composer had far reaching effect. The musicians, who all worked closely with Cunningham during his life, will perform a program of music from important moments during his 30-year career including selections from his acclaimed score to the OBIE award-winning Mabou Mines production Peter & Wendy. The program was first presented on the east coast in February 2005 at The Town Hall in New York, Somerville Theatre in Somerville, MA, Sellersville Theatre in Sellersville, PA, House of Musical Traditions in Rockville, MD, and at the Empire State Arts Center in Albany, New York.
